A virtual tour is a complete 360-degree view of a space with which a user can interact. The user can explore a space by choosing where to go and what direction to look in at all times from a computer or mobile device. With a good virtual tour, the user feels as if they’re standing within a space, controlling their movement within the area, zooming in and out, giving them the ability to focus in on areas of interest.
A Matterport space is a complete, three-dimensional representation of a real-world location created from 2D (RGB) imagery and 3D data from a Matterport camera or one of our supported third-party 360 cameras. A Matterport space can be navigated on a desktop or mobile web browser, and in virtual reality through a Samsung Gear VR, Google Cardboard, or Google Daydream.
Combined with seamless hosting and our web player called 3D Showcase, Matterport Spaces create a complete 3D media ecosystem for businesses to leverage 3D models of real places for many purposes — property marketing, construction, facilities management, and news/entertainment.
Here are some excellent reasons you need a tour:
Website visitors now expect to see them, particularly on mobile devices.
Static photographs – no matter how good they are , do not convey the feeling of actually being there. Looking around, interacting and engaging with your potential customers is so important these days. You do not get this from either photographs or video.
You have invested time and money in your business, you are passionate about it. Virtual tours are the best way to promote your business, your venue, your property online – without a doubt.

With Mattertag™ Content, you can annotate your 3D Spaces with helpful descriptions, call-outs, prices, or links to other resources like spec sheets, punchlists, or additional information. These are linked to real points in your 3D model.
The tour is enriched by allowing our clients to highlight certain aspects of their space with interactive pop-ups, features a highlight reel with automatic playback for a “sit back and relax” viewing experience, can be uploaded to Google Maps, Street View and Google Earth, works in VR, and we can deliver high-quality still images extracted from the virtual tour.

Depending on your needs, we can provide 2D print and digital photography, video, and more from your virtual tour.
Our virtual tour is more than enough for most residential properties — can typically cover about 10,000 square feet (930 meters squared). For large properties (such as multiple floors of a commercial building/shopping mall), we suggest divide into regions and create a separate Matterport model for each region. Then link the regions together to create a cohesive navigation experience. Don’t worry, we have experience in scanning those large properties.

We can capture exterior areas with 360° Views. 360° Views are spherical 2D panorama images that users can view in all different directions. 360° Views can be seen through 3D Showcase along with the rest of your 3D Space.
As direct sunlight can interfere with a normal 3D Scan, we recommend using 360° Views for outdoor or sunny areas.
For a high quality virtual tour, the weather needs to be just right and if not our photographer would not shoot your venue or location. If the weather proved to be too cold, whereby rain or wind would make it hard to photograph or on the other hand, too hot, whereby humidity would steam up a camera lens, we could not photograph that day. However if weather conditions are not favourable on the day of the shoot, we will contact a client on the morning and reschedule.
We are a global provider offering unbeatable expert service, with photographers who have gone through rigorous training for capturing the highest quality 3D virtual tours. We are headquartered in US, and mainly based in HK, Thailand and Taiwan but we also cover any areas in China and even Asia.
The 3D Showcase uses “WebGL”, the modern standard for handling 3D content viewed on the web. On desktop computers, WebGL is supported by all of the latest versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple’s Safari, and Microsoft’s Internet Explorer.
On mobile devices, WebGL is supported by Apple’s Safari for iOS 8 and Google’s Chrome for Android devices. If you can’t view the Virtual Tour, please update your browser.

Any new Matterport Space you create can be viewed in virtual reality for free.
It typically takes 30-60 minutes for every 1,000 square feet. In fact, scan time can vary based on (1) the complexity of the property and (2) your intended use of the 3D space. Both of these factors influence how many scans you should take, which in turn means how long you spend on-site.
This depends on the type of project that you’re commissioning. Let us know your budget, ideas, objectives and requirements. When we’ve got an idea of your project, we’ll be able to talk you through the various options. We can guarantee that we provide a competitive quote with an excellent value, with future-proof virtual tours which will stand the test of time.
Typically 48 hours in advance booking is required. For the urgent project with less than 48 hours notice, we will still schedule ourselves for you if we can.
The space should be as you’d like to show it to your audience! So we recommend clearing away any unsightly items, like bins, coats or piles of paperwork. Windows should be nice and clean, and so on! We’ll provide specific advice in advance of the shoot, but don’t worry, it’s nothing much beyond a clean and tidy and tips to make your space look good!
You will receive an URL link within 72 hours, then you can view the 3D showcase and share it to anyone you want to share.
Google Street View is an online tool created by Google that allows Google users to explore a city or neighborhood as if they were walking down the street. Our 3D Virtual Tour lets businesses display the interior of their properties on Google’s Street View platform online for increased discoverability and exposure.
Your Virtual Tour will appear in Google Search and Google Maps. It gives internet users a virtual walk-through allowing you to showcase all the details of your business. Sort of “try before you buy” that customers love. The service is perfect for restaurants, retail shops, automobile dealerships, doctors, dentists, lawyers, gyms, salons, and so much more. If you have made any effort to create a business environment to impress customers this is the perfect way to impress them even before they visit in person.
The entry point to a Google Street View Tour is from the ‘See Photos’ link on your businesses listing. You can also enter your tour by dropping the ‘pegman’ on your building in Google Maps. In some instances, your tour may be linked to the actual street to where someone playing around with Google Street View can navigate into your business.
You can also choose to embed your Google tour on your website. Our clients receive BOTH a Google Street View and Matterport Tour. We believe that Matterport Spaces are much easier to navigate, load faster, and are an overall better product. Therefore, we recommend using the Matterport Tour for your website.
We are Google Street View Trusted. Google has created a platform to efficiently produce this interactive content allowing us, the Google Street View Trusted Photographer, to offer this service at a truly affordable price.
A 360 video, also called a spherical video or VR video is a form of immersive media that enables the viewer to choose the direction they want to look in. It’s as if the viewer is standing where the camera was during the shoot.
There are many ways to enjoy 360 videos online from a computer, smartphone, or a virtual reality headset. Facebook and YouTube are the most popular and readily accessible 360 viewing platforms because the 360 viewer is built in. You simply click and drag on the video screen to choose where to look. Cellphones and tablets have it even easier; simply rotate the screen to look around.
This is entirely dependent on how long the video is, the type of story, the amount of visual effects needed and the complexity of the shoot. Camera angles and perspectives are decided during the creative concept phase. A finished video can take anywhere from a few days to a few months to edit and deliver.
